Last month, I was in Cheddar Gorge (loads of fun), and went in a toy shop there.
It had MASSES of brilliant stock, including this almost-ancient LPSO plushie. (I remember playing on that site - if you want to go back even further, search up LPS VIPs!)

You probably know that I love catching out sneaky copycats.
Let's expose a few that I found in that store!

Despite the figurines not looking like My Little Ponies, the packaging and drawings are definitely influenced by Generation 3 MLP. The pink brush held by the white pony is the type that came with Generation 3s, as well as the pose this blue pony enhances.
Not to mention their cutie marks, and the fact there's a pegasus floating in the background!
(Something unique to My Little Pony - the bond of pegasi, unicorns and earth ponies.)

With appealing pink packaging, you could almost mistake this for a real Disney doll. However, you can tell it has been made cheaply. When you compare the two, you can see that the one on the right is more detailed and overall more desirable compared to the left. The drawings make the princesses look like some sort of Anime characters you'd see in Comic Con.
And for some reason, Cinderella's dress is pink, and Sleeping Beauty's is blue. (Look at the headings.)
Cinderella? More like Princess Peach!

With an uncanny similarity to Monster High, 'Dark Queen' is a familiar face to me - I saw these in Spain, however I didn't take any photos.
The first is a replica of some sort of sporty Ghoulia Yelps, whereas the second resembles a Create-A-Monster build.
And the packaging!
Absolutely no character name in sight, the plaid packaging with pink zips and spiderwebs is a duplicate of Monster High's.
Seems like Monster High's genius slogan of 'Be yourself, be unique, be a Monster' has taken its toll on doll-making companies and made them realise that Barbies aren't always the way to earn money.

Well, I think toy companies worldwide have learned something today - DON'T make cheap copies of beautifully-made brands, otherwise I'M COMING FOR YOU! >:)
Hope you enjoyed reading. I'll be back with more exposing next time!
(Oh, and this is usually the type of post I'd upload on 'Silly Saturday', but I think I should create a special day for fakes... What do you think?)
